PAY ATTENTION TO CHAT
When people are in your chat room, pay attention to the chat boxes. Try not to be distracted by watching TV or browsing the internet. Members love it when you’re actively engaging and chatting with them.
SET A ROOM TOPIC
Room topics are a great way to let members know what they can expect from your paid shows that day. You can also use room topics to post fun quotes, your mood, or other topics to get members talking.
Remember that room topics cannot be used to post any off site promotion or explicit/illegal terms.
TYPE LESS
Most members would prefer to hear your voice than have you type back to them. You can type messages to the chat room to answer questions or chat with members with no audio, but try to spend most of your time speaking.
Make sure you’re using the saved messages feature in the Chat Windows to send common typed responses. You can send the information quickly and spend less time typing and more time speaking!
ALWAYS BE ABLE TO READ YOUR CHAT
It’s a good idea to make sure you can always read the chat window. Use the text style options on the Chat Windows to increase text size or change the color to make sure you can read it from anywhere in your streaming area. This lets you respond quickly by voice without needing to come back to your computer often.
KEEPING TRACK OF YOUR REGULARS
Learn how to use the Member Notes feature (see Chat Room Management for details). This helps you keep track of both good and bad guests so you’ll remember them next time they come to your room.
MANAGING GUESTS
It’s up to you to manage the mood of your chat room. You can keep things flirty, friendly, or serious depending on your personal style. But no matter how you run the room, if members are bothering you or driving away other customers, get rid of them! Kick or block members who don’t play by your rules, and report them if they don’t play by LiveBonita Network rules.
